Careful what you say

You have probably heard us say, “Remember that while you work WITH the clients, you work FOR Home Instead”. As we all know, it is easy to forget the company because you work with the clients and their families all the time. And unfortunately, it is all too easy to vent or complain about the office when with the clients or the families. It is human nature to complain about things that we don’t like or understand. BUT we all need to keep in mind that these clients have put their lives in our hands. Care Pros and company know personal things, make decisions, sometimes help with paying bills, direct how each day will go, etc.
Anytime the company or the Care Pros are undermined by complaints or negative input, it disturbs the clients trust which then disrupts their sense of safety and well being. That is NOT okay. Imagine that your daily life is in the hands of a company that will be sending people to your home on a regular basis, how would it make you feel to hear negative things about them? I would feel very vulnerable and uncomfortable.
Please bring concerns to the office not the clients or family members. We just want to make things the best that we can for everyone. Sometimes, the answers might take awhile but please keep in mind that we are all working for positive outcomes. The most important outcome is the safety and well being of our clients. They deserve that.

Very important to be mindful and cautious of what we say, as to not upset others.
I believe that it’s always important to be careful with the words we speak and in this instance (as an active Employee of a company) it is very important and ethical to not speak negatively about the company. Thank you for this reminder
