New EEOC Poster Required

The EEOC announced the release of a new “Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal” poster. This new poster updates and replaces the previous “EEO is the Law” poster. Covered employers are required by federal law to prominently display the poster at their work sites or, for employees who do not regularly visit the employer's workplace, on the employer's website. Covered employers may be fined for noncompliance.

The poster satisfies the requirements of several federal laws related to job discrimination, requiring covered employers to post a notice. The poster summarizes these federal laws and provides information to employees or applicants on filing a charge of discrimination.

Copies of this required poster can be found by clicking https://www.midcoastcaregiver.com/wp-content/uploads/EEOC_FED_06142023-ENG.pdf.
